Mein erster Eindruck heute, beim Lesen der News und Betrachten des Promo-Videos zu Windows Phone 7: das war's? Ich war ehrlich gesagt etwas enttäuscht, von dem was ich da gesehen habe.
Aber nach Betrachten des Live-Videos auf engadget.com sehe ich die Sache etwas anders. Was Microsoft hier mit Hilfe der von Zune bekannten Oberfläche hergestellt hat (bzw. gerade dabei ist es fertigzustellen ...), ist wirklich interessant. Keine Ahnung ob ich es gegen mein iPhone bzw. das neue iPhone der 4. ...
Wer beispielsweise Url-Rewriting einsetzt und eigene Dateiendungen verwendet und eine Website schonmal auf einen Windows Server 2008 in der 64-Bit-Variante deployed hat, wird es kennen: um auf dem Server korrekt ausgeführt zu werden, müssen die Handler im <system.webServer />-Abschnitt der Web.config auf den 64-Bit-Ordner der .NET-Framework-Installation verweisen. After a long way of development Microsoft will introduce a new tool for deploying web applications with Visual Studio 2010. The tool is called "MSDeploy". Especially interesting is the new possibility to replace specific parts of a web.config by deploying it. That will make many lifes easier :-).

Yesterday evening (CET) I got the message about the crash of an airplane in New York City by twitter. First of all: I am happy to see that all 155 passengers are alive and in good shape! As one survivor on CNN as answer of the question, what he would like to say to the captain, said: "Thank you, thank you, thank you.".
Normally I would not really recognize an incident like that, but only two weeks ago I was flying over the Hudson in a helikopter and cruising around in one of the typical sight ...

I really have no idea why, but Basic Thinking, the private blog of Robert Basic is the most recognized weblog in the German blogosphere and especially well-known by people bearing upon technical, advertsing and "Web 2.0" issues. After almost 4 years of actively blogging Robert Basic will sell his blog, including contents and domain, on ebay.
The auction will start tomorrow afternoon and I am curious about to see what he will achieve. It will be enthralling to see if the German Web 2.0 bubble ...
Wer mit Visual Studio Websites entwickelt und den internen Webserver anstelle des IIS verwendet, kennt es: der Abruf der Websites via Firefox ist extrem langsam.
Das lässt sich abschalten, in dem man in Firefox IPv6 deaktiviert - was heutzutage im Web sowieso noch keine/kaum eine Rolle spiel. Also via about:config den Wert network.dns.disableIPv6 auf true setzen.

Ich habe meine Wii nach einem Jahr trotzdem verscherbelt, weil sie nur verstaubte. Das lag vor allem daran, dass die Spiele, die mich wirklich interessieren, verkrüppelte Familienversionen waren - z.B. Fifa 08. Und dass die Steuerung bei vielen Spielen unzureichend war ... Bin dann wohl ...
Wie hart ist das denn ... vor allem die Reaktion des Vaters am Ende. Ich hau mich weg.
Btw.: zum Background ganz interessant das Interview auf Spreeblick mit Christian Ulmen. Der - zweifelsohne eine coole Sau und guter Schauspieler - wird zwar seit Jahren von der Kritik gefeiert, allerdings gelang ihm nie der große Mainstream-Erfolg (selbst mit Filmen wie "Herr Lehmann" nicht).
Irgendwo im Interview erwähnt er auch, dass er mit dem Online-Format inzwischen mehr Zuschauer erreicht, als er das ...
